As contact lens wearers we must still protect our eyes from harmful UV radiation. As the Ozone gets depleted more UV is being absorbed by the eyes.  That is why as we get older we develop cataracts. The lens of the eyes absorb the harmful radiation on a daily basis. That is why over the years of absorption cataracts develop. Contact lens companies are incorporating UV protection into the contacts. I recommend that all contact lens wearers should wear a good pair of sunglasses to further protect their eyes from harmful radiation.
